I’m Brenda Duran (she/her), a therapist at Modern Wellness Family Counseling who works with families, adults, adolescents, and couples. I assist in supporting families and individuals navigate through life transitions and adjustments that sometimes block the opportunity to move forward with their loved ones. My areas of interest are, but are not limited to: acculturation issues, trauma and PTSD, anxiety and depression as well as family/relationship issues. I believe that therapy is another avenue to try and resolve underneath issues that everyone faces from past traumas or from current situations. Although it may feel easier to ignore issues at times, I strongly believe in incorporating therapy in a client’s life in a way that does not disrupt nor shame, but rather enhances the experience of life. I am here to meet client’s where they wish to begin and am ready to walk alongside client’s as we explore new ways of moving forward. I offer services in both English or Spanish.
