I'm Jackson Shelley (he/him), a therapist at Modern Wellness Family Counseling. I work with children, adolescents, and their families, including individual adults and couples. In addition, I welcome people of all backgrounds and identities. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, I am trained in individual, couples, and family therapy. I tailor my therapeutic approach to each client, often drawing from play therapy, family systems theory, and other intergenerational approaches. Furthermore, I enjoy offering premarital counseling to engaged couples. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and other areas of concern. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where clients are encouraged to be their most authentic selves while working toward desired change. I believe therapy is most successful with a strong therapeutic relationship built on mutual respect, trust, and collaboration. Therefore, I strive to make meaningful connections with my clients, giving them the opportunity to be seen, heard, and involved in the therapeutic process.
