I'm Woody McCutcheon (he/him), an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist at Modern Wellness Family Counseling working with individuals, couples, and families. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate life's changes and challenges with greater clarity, connection, and confidence.
With training in systemic and family-systems therapy, my aim is to create an open, non-judgmental environment where you and your family can show up as your authentic selves. I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including narrative therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to help clients reframe the stories they carry about themselves and their relationships while building practical, evidence-based skills.
Through these approaches, I support clients facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, family and relationship conflict, trauma, ADHD-related challenges, and the stress of major life transitions.
My externship in geriatric psychiatry at Prisma Health shaped a particular interest in working with young adults and caregivers navigating life's transitions — in family life and professional life alike. I hope to support clients who are looking after aging or ill family members, working through the family conflict that can surface under that strain, and processing the trauma that can come with it. My goal is to help you and your family move toward healing, growth, and stronger communication, using approaches grounded in both evidence and genuine connection.
Woody is in network with Aetna, Cigna, Curative, Molina Medicaid, Absolute Total Care Medicaid, Healthy Connections Medicaid, Select Health Medicaid, Humana Medicaid, and has self pay options.
