Hi, I'm Sissy Costello (she/her), a therapist at Modern Wellness Family Counseling in Spartanburg, South Carolina. My goal is to provide a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
I work with adults and very young children (ages 6 and under). For adults, I integrate Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help process trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other challenges that may be difficult to access through talk therapy alone, supporting healing of both the mind and body. My work with young children is rooted in Child-Centered Play Therapy, offering a developmentally appropriate space to express emotions, build confidence, and strengthen self-regulation. I also partner with parents to deepen connection, strengthen communication, and support healthy development at home. I believe healing happens within safe relationships, and I am honored to help clients discover their strengths, foster resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
